Songwriting & Music Jam Workshop with Al Start

Join our resident musician and children’s songwriter Al Start for a creative hour of simple music improvisation and songwriting. Learn how easy it is to make up little songs and write your own song as a group or family! Then add instruments and play as a band. You can even showcase your song at the Children’s Music Session at 6.30pm! If you play an instrument, bring it along - but no musical experience needed.

1 Hour sessions run on various dates over the year between 4.30-5.30pm

£10 per/person

Suitable for families - all ages - but under 5’s need to be accompanied by an adult

About Al Start

Al has been writing and performing songs for children for over 10 years and before that she toured extensively as a grown-up singer-songwriter! She set up Go Kid Music as part of her mission to get children singing, signing and learning creatively. She leads singing assemblies and workshops in primary schools, has a series of fantastic children’s albums and songbooks and runs music events like gigs for kids and musical puppet shows.
