Lower Moat

Lower Moat is our largest camping field with all pitches sticking to the edge of the field, leaving the space in the middle for kids to play.  Surrounded by a large hand dug moat this is a beautiful field with a lot of history embedded all around it.  The kids will entertain themselves on one of the many rope swings all around the field and generally be falling up and down the moat and into rabbit holes leading to wonderland!

We have built a large compost loo unit in the far right corner as well as a pot wash unit with 4 washing up sinks, all to save you the hassle of walking back to our main facilities.  We also have our communal area in the far right corner where we have built an earth oven and plan to cook you all breads, pizzas and soup along with some live entertainment of story telling and music.  The communal area only comes to life on Saturdays roughly between 6pm and 8pm so to be camped near here would not be a disruption to you at all.

We are also in the process of creating a few 'all weather' pitches which are mulched pitches with a large banquet table, bbq, and canvas shelter to cater for your every need.  These pitches will be first come first serve as well and suitable for groups to camp around and share this space.
